AU10 Is Over!

Hey, fellow 2007 Humanities Scholars!

I don't know about you but my autumn quarter was crazy. I could never make a meeting as I had a night class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30pm - 7:18pm. NEVER AGAIN will I take a night class as a senior. Worst idea ever.

So what did I do that was humanities-related this quarter? I went to the Italian Festival, for one thing. I go every year; the food is great but the best part is the contagious environment (lots of Italians and non-Italians coming together to celebrate one culture) filled with singing and dancing! They also tried to make the world's largest meatball. I didn't go near it, but I heard it smelled really bad. I saw it on the news; if you're curious - they failed (it was under weight by 200lbs I believe?).

I'm sad I couldn't make other Humanities scholars events although I plan to still participate in them independently. For example, I really want to read "Eat, Pray, Love" so I definitely am going to get it (and the movie!) over break. I'm also going to the zoolights next week after finals, so I'll be able to catch a glimpse of the winter delight and animals everyone saw when they went together.

Next quarter I look forward to participating in more Humanities Scholars events and being able to go to meetings! See you then :]
